The details of the emergency in the Solnechnogorsk urban district of the Moscow region have become clear, where a traffic police officer was shot dead while detaining a criminal on Friday evening. It turned out that the detained (and wounded) attacker had previously changed his last name.
As MK learned, the attack occurred at 21.15 in the village of Vertlino. By the way, the shooter, 52-year-old Alexey Yushin, temporarily lives in this village. He was driving his Mercedes Benz E350 when a crew from the Solnechnogorsk City District traffic police tried to stop him. The man did not obey, after which law enforcement officers began pursuing the foreign car in a service Hyundai Solaris. Quite quickly, the Mercedes stopped, the driver got out and fired a shot at 41-year-old senior lieutenant Alexei Markov, who came out to meet him. The shot was fired in the chest at close range from a Walter pistol. Markov died from his wound. The second traffic inspector, senior lieutenant Dmitry Yuferev, returned fire and neutralized the criminal. Yushin received a tangential wound to the head, as well as a wound to the collarbone and left forearm. He was hospitalized in serious condition. When examining his car, in addition to the “Walter”, a Kalashnikov assault rifle was found without a number and without cartridges.
It is known about the deceased Markov that he is from the Nizhny Novgorod region, and has been in law enforcement since 2009. Already in the service, he graduated from the National Research University of Nizhny Novgorod. Lobachevsky. Markov left four children aged 9, 13, 14 and 17 years old.
It is also known that Alexey Yushin has debts to pay for traffic violations in the amount of 3,500 rubles (a total of 8 unpaid fines and another 34 paid). and a number of other debts for non-payment of taxes. Some time ago, Yushin and his brother changed their last name. In 2020, Yushin’s brother died, leaving behind debts. In particular, a ban on its sale was imposed on the Mercedes used by the killer.
