Details of the OGE-2024 for ninth graders have become known

There is still six months until the end of spring, when school exams traditionally begin, but the first “guides” to the OGE for ninth-graders have already appeared on the RuNet. Tutors who offer schoolchildren help in preparing for final tests (and they are usually the ones who post exam “layouts” on the Internet in advance) remind that the OGE in 2024 starts on February 14 and there are innovations in it.

We learned the details of the upcoming final exams in the ninth grade.

The main “examination” blogger of Runet, Mikhail Lanzman, explains that in the new year all ninth-grade students will first have to obtain admission to the final exams, which will be “issued” at the final interview. It will be held in Russian schools on February 14.

“Yes, we were already informed, I remembered because it’s Valentine’s Day,” confirms Moscow ninth-grader Alina. – But here we call it not an interview, but a test. If you don’t pass it the first time, you will retake it in a month.

School teachers clarify that retaking the test for admission to the Unified State Examination, if you do not pass it the first time on February 14, is possible twice. The first is on March 13, the second is on April 15.

“For the third year now, an oral final interview in the Russian language has been held in 9th grade,” says Alla Ivanovna, a literature teacher at one of the capital’s schools. – In some schools they call it “test” because they don’t give grades on it, only pass/fail, also known as admission/failure to the Unified State Examination. It is carried out in the home school, but not by the teacher leading the class, but by a special examiner – the so-called “organizer-interlocutor”. Not everything is smooth, to be honest, but we learn from our own mistakes.

Alla Ivanovna’s colleagues, language specialists and others, as well as the teaching staff of other schools, are unanimous outside of officialdom: three years of experience in admitting ninth-graders to the OGE with the help of an “examiner-interlocutor” has shown both pros and cons.

“This IS (final interview – author) is already three years old in the winter, but we all call it “new” among ourselves,” they share in the teachers’ room of a metropolitan school with a humanitarian bias, “We won’t get used to it ourselves.” What are the advantages? That in their own school, you don’t have to go anywhere, and within familiar walls, children are less stressed. Plus, it’s fast – no longer than 15 minutes for each, and they call one at a time. In case of illness or “failure”, if the interviewee scored less than 10 points, there are as many as two retake attempts with an interval of a month.

– What if he doesn’t pass again?

– Then again to the 9th grade. In some schools this is not practiced, then parents have to transfer their child to another school.

Judging by the modest silence of school teachers, there are no more advantages, and they are not ready to discuss the disadvantages. But the parents of those who know first-hand about IP are ready.

“My daughter went through this last year, and this year my son will have to,” shares Irina, the mother of two schoolchildren from New Moscow. “My daughter is an excellent student, she passed this test better than anyone in the class, but she described the procedure itself in the form of a humorous joke, amusing the family at dinner. The role, he says, of our Russian teacher is to take you into the office where a strange man is sitting. Gloomy, like an evil investigator in a movie: “Hello, I’m your organizer and interlocutor.” Ritka says that one of their excellent students failed the test only because the time for preparation is limited, and also this “sledak” hangs over the soul, pressing morally. Now I’m afraid for my son, it’s Ritka who has humor, and Egorka is a timid C student.

According to experts, IS in the Russian language consists of oral testing of a student using CIMs (testing and measuring materials – author), they are “downloaded from above the day before via secure communication channels,” and they consist of four tasks – reading the text, retelling it using direct quotes, monologue statements and dialogue with the interlocutor. A representative of the school accompanies the subjects to the very door of the organizer-interlocutor, but the student goes inside alone; audio and video recordings are made in the office. You cannot carry anything with you except the received “summons” – a call to the IP with an identification number. Responses are assessed by a special commission according to 19 criteria within no longer than 5 working days. That is, the IS results for current 9th graders will appear no later than February 19 of the coming year. The OGE itself can be taken either ahead of schedule (from April 23 to May 7) or during the main period – from May 24 to June 14. For “early-term” students, reserve days are from May 14 to 21, for the main stream from June 24 to July 2. Additional period of OGE-2024 from September 3 to 13. One of the innovations is that you can bring a “non-programmable” (the simplest) calculator to the OGE in physics. The minimum score in Russian is 15, and the recommended score for selection into a specialized (humanities) class is 26. The minimum score in mathematics is 8 points, for specialized economics and physics classes – 18-19. Foreign language 29/55, literature 16/30, history 11/26, geography 12/23, physics 11/31, biology 13/34, chemistry 10/27, computer science 5/14, social studies 14/29.

– What is a “monologue statement”? – I’m curious about Galina Afanasyevna, a Soviet-trained wordsmith.

– Oh, don’t ask! – she denies in an informal conversation. – I don’t know myself! It doesn’t even sound Russian somehow.

But the children themselves are more optimistic.

“This is much better than the written OGE,” assures Anton, who passed the “crucible of IS” last year. – Just to show how loose your tongue is. If you are not stupid, you know how to babble about nothing and answer questions at random, immediately “go, boy, you’ll pass.”
