“Breathing heavily, preparing for the worst”
Relatives spoke about the serious illness of Doctor of Biological Sciences Boris Naroditsky, from which the scientist died on January 10, and also reported about an imminent funeral, in the organization of which employees of the National Research Center for Epidemiology and Microbiology named after N. As MK learned, 82-year-old Boris Naroditsky has been undergoing treatment at the City Hospital named after S.P. Botkin for the last month and a half. The man had a weakened immune system, which caused him to develop severe pneumonia. According to relatives, the scientist began to get sick often due to serious consequences after a fall in 2021. Then the virologist broke one of the cervical vertebrae, as a result of which he subsequently suffered from severe pain and was limited in movement. A serious illness affected the man’s entire body. The scientist died in hospital on January 10.
“We called him the day before yesterday. He was breathing heavily, we were preparing for the worst,” said the scientist’s wife.
The funeral of Boris Naroditsky will take place this Saturday in the funeral hall of the Central Clinical Hospital; former colleagues of the professor from the National Research Center for Epidemiology and Microbiology named after N. F. Gamaleya are involved in their organization.
