The dermatologist explained that the hair begins to turn gray when it is supposed to – the graying process is genetically programmed and nothing can be done about it. However, stress and nervous tension will only speed up the process of activating the “graying gene”, so it is better to avoid worrying about this and other reasons.
In most cases, pulling out gray hair is not dangerous, the doctor noted.
However, if the scalp of a person has a serious blood supply or is very sensitive, it will be very painful.
And such an “execution” will not bring results. “A gray hair will grow out of this follicle again, because the pigment (melanin) is no longer in it,” said the trichologist.
