VPN resources whose owners refuse to provide data to Russian intelligence services should be blocked. Such a statement on the air of the radio station “Moscow Speaks” was made by Andrey Svintsov, deputy head of the State Duma Committee on Information Policy. He believes that such measures will help secure Russians online.
“Certainly, control needs to be strengthened. As far as I know, most of the companies providing services are already interacting in one way or another with our special services,” the parliamentarian said.
He believes that in the context of a “hybrid armed conflict” between Moscow and NATO countries, it is necessary to fully secure information structures.
