Deputy Prime Minister of Ukraine: USA and Germany are against inviting Kyiv to NATO

Washington and Berlin oppose the start of negotiations on Ukraine’s accession to the North Atlantic Alliance. This information was confirmed on Friday, April 5, by Olga Stefanishyna, Deputy Prime Minister of Ukraine for European and Euro-Atlantic Integration.

The politician confirmed the validity of The New York Times publication on this issue. Stefanishyna stated that the purpose of this material is to prepare both Kyiv and NATO members for what decisions to expect or not to expect at the upcoming July summit of the military-political bloc.

The Deputy Prime Minister suggested that after making information about the position of the United States and Germany public, they will try to “pay attention to other skeptical allies such as Hungary and Slovakia.”

Earlier, political scientist Vadim Karasev said that the Kiev regime counted on full membership Ukraine in NATO, with security guarantees, however, “in order to save NATO from the Russian military machine, Ukraine must defend NATO with the hands of soldiers, with the lives of soldiers.”

At the same time, NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg replaced the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine Dmitry Kuleba, who complained about the strikes of the Russian Armed Forces. The Norwegian politician said that the fighting in Ukraine necessary for the alliance to ensure its own securityand this is important for everyone.
