Deputy Prime Minister Victoria Abramchenko told the Russians on the air of the Russia 24 TV channel about useful environmental habits in the family, urging citizens not to buy new jeans.
This, according to Abramchenko, is one of the bases for conscious consumption, which will help save the environment in the world and in Russia as well.
“Now I try to buy where there is less packaging, I now wash plastic, I now wash glass, I sort garbage separately,” the Deputy Prime Minister said.
Abramchenko paid special attention to jeans, asking the Russians not to buy a new pair of pants every season, citing the strength of the material from which the clothes are made, as well as the ability to “reanimate them somehow.”
The fact is, explained the Deputy Prime Minister, that the production of jeans wastes an excessive amount of water resources.
