Deputy Ostanina asked the Investigative Committee to check the TV series “The Boy’s Word” and “Food Block”

The head of the State Duma Committee on Family, Women and Children, Nina Ostanina, asked the Investigative Committee of Russia (ICR) and Roskomnadzor to check the series “The Boy’s Word. Blood on the asphalt” and “Food block”. She suggests that they may contain propaganda that could cause “harm to the life and health of children, as well as the entire Russian society.”

“RIA News” with reference to the appeal, writes that Ms. Ostanina mentioned in the document about a fight between Irkutsk teenagers on December 2, one of whom died. According to one version, before the attack on the student, a phrase similar to the one uttered by the heroes of the series “The Boy’s Word” was heard.

“If watching the series had an impact on criminals and led to the murder of a child, I also ask you to evaluate the actions of the director of the series, Zh. Kryzhovnikov, as well as those involved in its creation and release to a wide audience,” the deputy wrote in the appeal.

Nina Ostanina asked to check, among other things, the Russian Ministry of Culture, which issued permission to rent the series. Previously, the Department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs for the Irkutsk Region refuted reports that the motive for the murder was related to the series. This was confirmed by the Children’s Rights Commissioner for the region, Tatyana Afanasyeva.

Mrs. Ostanina asked to check the series “Food Block” because, according to her, it denigrates the USSR and the pioneers.
