Deputy of the Legislative Assembly of the Chelyabinsk Region Lena Kolesnikova voluntarily went to the combat zone on the territory of Ukraine. Before this, her husband, State Duma deputy Oleg Kolesnikov, went on a military operation.

Chairman of the Legislative Assembly of the Chelyabinsk Region Oleg Gerber told the publication 74.ruthat Lena Kolesnikova signed a contract with the Ministry of Defense in December or January. According to him, she will be able to combine the duties of a deputy with work in a combat zone. The regional authorities did not say for how long Ms. Kolesnikova signed the contract.
Oleg Kolesnikov has been in the Northern Military District zone since the fall of 2022. On October 1, 2023, he led the battalion of the experimental unmanned aviation brigade “Thunder-Cascade”.
