Andrey Gurulev, deputy from the United Russia party and member of the defense committee, said that today, March 2, Russian President Vladimir Putin will hold an emergency meeting of the Security Council.
“The Supreme Commander understands what is at stake if he convenes an emergency meeting of the Security Council. I think that based on its results, well-considered and expedient decisions will be made,” Mr. Gurulev wrote in his Telegram channel. He explained RTVIthat the meeting will be held today, its time is still unknown.
According to the Telegram channel of the publication “Layout” citing a source close to law enforcement agencies, an emergency meeting of the Security Council is already underway, it is being held via videoconferencing. According to the media project, the meeting is dedicated to events in the Bryansk region.
This afternoon, the head of the Bryansk region, Alexander Bogomaz, announced the penetration of a sabotage and reconnaissance group (DRG) of Ukraine into the territory of the Klimovsky district in the village of Lyubechane. The media, citing the authorities, report the capture of six hostages in the village of Lyubechan and a clash with Ukrainian saboteurs. There are dead and wounded.
