Deputy Gorelkin called for removing “weapons of war” Wikipedia from search engines

State Duma deputy Anton Gorelkin said that he considers Roskomnadzor’s intention to remove from search results foreign sites that violate the current legislation of the Russian Federation correct. According to the parliamentarian, the measure should be extended to Wikipedia.

“I support the decision of the RKN,” the deputy said on the social network. “These measures can be extended to one more violator.”

Gorelkin motivated his ideas by the fact that Wikipedia, in his opinion, “has long ceased to be a “free encyclopedia” and has been transformed “into a weapon of information warfare against Russia.”
