Deputies of the Verkhovna Rada no longer receive salaries “in envelopes” – faction leader

Salaries in envelopes were a reality even in the current Verkhovna Rada, but now this phenomenon has been eradicated, said David Arakhamia, leader of the Servant of the People faction in parliament.
Previously, “servants of the people” were repeatedly accused of receiving salaries in envelopes.
In an interview with the Ukrainian Forbes, Arakhamia said that “envelope salaries” for the people’s deputies of Ukraine “as a systemic phenomenon, this no longer exists.”
At the same time, he also admitted that the “price tag” for the deputies of the Verkhovna Rada had fallen sharply, and mainly small oligarchs tried to influence them.
