The most harmful for the teeth are sweets, white wines and carbonated drinks, said “Gazete.Ru” dentist-therapist of JSC “Medicine” Roman Korolev.
According to the dentist, in terms of danger to the teeth, sugar is in the first place, which leads to damage to tooth enamel and caries. Also, the doctor notes, bacteria in the mouth convert sugar into acid, causing destruction of the structure of the teeth.
It is dentists, notes Korolev, who always recommend reducing the consumption of chocolate, as well as sweet carbonated drinks, and adding less sugar to coffee or tea.
If it is impossible to refuse these products, then after eating, you should rinse your mouth or use dental floss.
Before drinking red wine, the dentist advises to brush your teeth in advance so that the sugar does not stick to plaque on the enamel.
Korolev noted that white wine is the second most harmful product for teeth, as this drink can lead to microcracks on the teeth.
Dangerous for the teeth, the doctor believes, all acidic foods and drinks, consuming them in large quantities, you may encounter abrasion of dental tissues.
