Demand for marketplace employees is growing in Moscow

The greatest shortage of employees in the capital is now observed in the trade sector, at enterprises providing services, as well as in the field of transport and logistics. This was reported in the Moscow employment service.

So, in the database of the capital’s employment center “My Job” there are now more than 73 thousand vacancies related to work in the field of wholesale and retail trade. Moscow enterprises are looking for sellers, cashiers, sales managers, merchandisers and other specialists.

At the same time, experts note a large increase in demand for employees in the field of e-commerce. This is due to the rapid development of marketplaces. At the same time, employers often consider workers without experience, promising to teach everything on the spot. There are options for remote work.

70 thousand vacancies are related to work in the service industry. Most of all in Moscow, cooks, baristas, hairdressers, masseurs and receptionists are needed.

As for transport and logistics, the third area most of all experiencing a shortage of personnel, 45,000 vacancies are currently relevant here. Employers of the capital offer employment to drivers of cars, buses and trams, train conductors, auto mechanics, locksmiths and other specialists.

In addition, the database of the employment center has many vacancies in other areas – from IT to retail. This requires employees with no work experience.

Muscovites who want to learn a new profession are offered to undergo retraining.

“In the employment service, you can get free retraining or refresher courses in modern popular specialties. Unemployed Muscovites, mothers with children under seven years old and people over 50 years old can get a referral, ”the Moscow employment service recalled.
