Davankov proposed calling the initiative on informers “Mizulina’s law”

State Duma Vice Speaker Vladislav Davankov (“New People”) said that deputies plan to speed up the development of a bill on compulsory labor for “serial informers.” In his Telegram channel Mr. Davankov proposed naming the initiative in honor of the head of the Safe Internet League, Ekaterina Mizulina. Earlier, she appealed to the leadership of the Ministry of Defense with a request to call blogger Danila Milokhin into the ranks of the Armed Forces because of his “Russophobic” statements.

“Let’s call it ”Mizulina’s law”. I am sure that 100 hours of compulsory work will bring much greater benefit to the country than attempts to impose homemade justice on the Internet. This should be a lesson for everyone who is sure that denunciation is the norm,” wrote Vladislav Davankov.

According to him, Ekaterina Mizulina’s request to call Danil Milokhin to serve in the Armed Forces “scared away thousands of Russians from returning.” Among them are IT specialists, scientists and entrepreneurs who “the country needs now.”

September 11 Ms. Mizulina wrote in his Telegram channel that Danila Milokhin needs “patriotic education”, and therefore he must “with arms in hand prove in practice his loyalty and devotion to our Motherland.” Before this, presenter Vladimir Solovyov demanded that the blogger be sent to the front because he sang the Ukrainian anthem a year ago. After Ekaterina Mizulina’s appeal, the blogger left Russia and flew to Dubai.

In April, party member Alexei Nechaev spoke about plans to develop a bill introducing liability for denunciation. According to him, denunciations from “voluntary assistants” distract law enforcement officers from searching for real criminals. Against the backdrop of arrests due to the combination of blue and yellow colors on his clothes, Vladislav Davankov also offered join the initiative of colleagues from the Liberal Democratic Party.
