Russian blogger Danya Milokhin, as promised, entered his first fight with the Russian flag and the anthem of the Russian Federation.
The fight took place on February 16 in Dubai (United Arab Emirates), as part of the boxing tournament of the Alpha Fight Series promotion. The fight with Milokhin became the co-main event.
The blogger performed successfully and knocked out Indian representative Ajmal Khan in the first round.
Earlier, Milokhin promised to enter the fight with the Russian flag and anthem.
“I am Russian, I have a Russian passport and I speak Russian. I was born in Russia, what country should I represent? Dubai?! Emirates?! I’m Russian and I don’t see the point in showing off. Even if someone is unhappy that I am flying under the Russian flag, I don’t care. Once again, I am Russian, and it will be difficult to take away my citizenship without any reason,” Sport24 quotes Milokhin as saying.
