Daily Mail: Briton complains about attempted rape by Ukrainian refugee

The Briton accused a refugee from Ukraine, whom he sheltered at home, of sexual violence, but the police did not bring him any charges, writes the Daily Mail.
According to a resident of Birmingham, after the start of a special military operation in Ukraine, the Briton decided to provide housing for refugees. He chose a Ukrainian with whom he had previously spoken on the phone and who was not embarrassed by the fact that the owner of the house was gay.
In August, a refugee from Uzhhorod moved in with a British man. A few weeks later, he was allegedly sexually assaulted in his own bed by the owner of the house. He was drunk and remembers the incident in fragments.
The Briton turned to the police, but the guards subsequently stated that they did not have the evidence necessary to charge the refugee, and released him.
The Briton said that he had lost faith in law enforcement officers who refused to conduct a medical examination of bruises on the buttocks, legs and arms, which the Ukrainian refugee allegedly left. He was also dissatisfied with the city council, who called him after the incident asking him to take in another refugee.
It is noted that the Birmingham City Council decided not to provide Ukrainians with other housing under the program “Houses for Ukraine”.
