British David Smith, who is suspected of working for Russian intelligence, believes that he should be treated as a disgruntled employee, and not as a spy. This is reported by the Daily Mail.
In November last year, the RA agency reported that the Briton pleaded guilty to working for Russian intelligence.
“Smith … claims he should be treated as a ‘disgruntled employee’ and not as a spy,” the publication said, citing Smith’s words during the trial.
The accused did not agree that he planned to harm the country, but Judge Paul Goldspring affirmatively stated that Smith expressed “extreme hatred” for the place where the accused worked, as well as for the whole country.
