The topic of employment of refugees from Palestine was discussed today in Makhachkala at a meeting on current issues, which was chaired by the head of Dagestan Sergei Melikov.

As Kommersant reported, Dagestan announced its readiness to accept up to 200 refugees from Palestine. Forced migrants who arrived in Makhachkala in several groups live in a temporary accommodation center organized at a recreation center in the suburbs of the Dagestan capital.
The government of the republic allocated 8.2 million rubles from its reserve fund. for the maintenance of refugees. The Ministry of Labor of Dagestan has opened a headquarters to collect humanitarian aid for them.
