“Daddy’s Daughters” will return to STS

The STS TV channel has started filming the continuation of the cult TV series “Daddy’s Daughters”. Ten years later, Andrei Leonov, Philip Bledny, Liza Arzamasova, Miroslava Karpovich, Nonna Grishaeva, Alexander Oleshko, Olga Volkova and other actors of their favorite story returned to their roles.

Alexander Zhigalkin, director of the series: “For me, “Daddy’s Daughters” is a special name. It was great years ago, and it’s up to us to make it great again. An incredible adventure awaits us: pleasant and exciting in the production process and very funny at the end. After all, there are all the components of success for this: a wonderful script, talented actors and a professional team.”

In the continuation of the story, the curse of the Vasnetsovs overtakes the already grown-up daughters of a family psychotherapist (Andrey Leonov). On the eve of the next wedding anniversary, Dasha (Anastasia Sivaeva) runs away from home, leaving the workaholic Venik (Philip Bledny) a farewell letter, an engagement ring and four daughters: Lisa (Vita Kornienko), Diana (Eva Smirnova), Arina (Polina Ainutdinova) and Sonya ( Polina Denisova). Now Benjamin, just like his father-in-law once, is forced to become father, mother, and friend for his children. And the resilient Vasnetsov family will help him in this.

Philip Bledny: “For me, playing the father of four girls is just some kind of dream. I myself would not refuse four daughters. Therefore, when such an offer was received, without even reading the script, I immediately agreed. I got fired up, because this is a new stage, a new way of being in the frame. Recently there have been roles of brutal guys, but here it is completely different. I have changed, Venik too, so it’s terribly interesting what we can do.”

Before filming, Philip, like the whole team, reviewed previous seasons. In the new series, the artists tried to preserve the images of the main characters, and Olga Volkova, who played the role of grandmother, brought her heroine’s favorite costumes to the site.

In the continuation of the story, the people’s artist will take up the education of a new generation, one of whose representatives will be played by the star of “Aunt Marta” Vita Kornienko. Her heroine Lisa is responsible in the Vasnetsov family for fives and separate garbage collection. “Liza is strict and responsible, somewhat reminiscent of Galina Sergeevna,” the young actress shares. “We all have bright images here, and the scenery turned out so modern and cozy! It feels like we’re filming in a real house.”

Filming of “Daddy’s Daughters” takes place in the pavilions, where the artists built the scenery for the Vasnetsovs’ apartment in a month and a half. Housing occupies 130 square meters and includes two rooms for daughters and one for Venika, a living room, a kitchen and an entrance hall. At the same time, the scenery of the office of the school psychologist and the apartment of Borya’s neighbor, performed by Alexei Demidov, are being created. “The universe of the project is expanding, so we often get out of the pavilion, new locations and natural objects appear, including a school, an institute, fitness rooms, cafes, a stand-up club, shopping centers, colorful Moscow courtyards,” says production designer Dmitry Petukhov .

Both new authors and screenwriters of previous seasons of “Daddy’s Daughters” are working on the continuation. “The series will become more modern and dynamic,” says creative producer Aslan Gugkaev. – At the same time, I want to preserve sincerity and humor, for which they fell in love with Daughters. We are trying to achieve a golden mean so that the continuation will be liked by both longtime fans of the story and viewers who are unfamiliar with the characters.
