Czech Republic will not restore Russian oil supplies from Druzhba

Deliveries of Russian oil via the southern branch of the Druzhba pipeline to the Czech Republic will not be restored. Linda Vashkovichova, the official representative of the Transpetrol company, which is the operator of the Slovak part of Druzhba, told reporters about this.
At the same time, Russian oil in transit through Ukraine has already arrived in Slovakia. Soon it will reach Hungary.
The Czech state company MERO, which is the owner and operator of the Czech part of Druzhba, confirmed that oil supplies through the pipeline in the republic have been stopped for the time being.
The reason for this situation is that the issue of payment for the transit of raw materials from the Russian Federation was settled by the Hungarian oil and gas concern MOL. He is the owner of oil refineries in these two countries. However, Czech oil refineries belong to the Polish concern PKN Orlen.
Previously it was reported that The supply of Russian oil to Slovakia via the Druzhba pipeline resumed on Wednesday, August 10.
On August 4, Ukrtransnafta stopped the transit of Russian oil due to a failure to pay the transit fee. The funds paid for transit in August in connection with the entry into force of the EU Regulation were returned to the Russian side.
However, the technical problem that caused the delay was resolved thanks to prompt action by the Hungarian MOL and Slovnaft. The company transferred the transit fee to pay for the use of the Ukrainian section and the Ukrainians kept their promise
