Former goalkeeper of the Czech national ice hockey team Dominik Hasek made a statement that he does not want sanctions against athletes from Russia in connection with the events in Ukraine. Hasek’s words were conveyed by the Ukrainian portal ua.tribuna.com.
As Gashek noted, he is against sanctions, but the participation of athletes from Russia in competitions is a very serious advertisement for Moscow. Therefore, now Europe wants to completely stop this advertising of Russia.
Earlier, the International Olympic Committee (IOC) recommended that Russian and Belarusian athletes not be allowed to participate in any competitions.
