Information security expert of the League of Digital Economy Andrey Slobodchikov in an interview with the agency “Prime” said that the WhatsApp messenger is the most dangerous, because critical vulnerabilities are most often detected in it.
As an example, he cited a situation that happened a few days ago. Then the experts identified vulnerabilities with the help of which they managed to run arbitrary code on the user’s device and gain full access to the gadget.
According to him, in order to gain full access, the attackers needed to send a video with malicious code or make a video call.
“In most cases, the cause of various leaks is user error. For example, the lack of app updates,” Slobodchikov added.
