The Crew Dragon spacecraft with a Russian cosmonaut and three astronauts docked at the International Space Station (ISS). This is reported by NASA in its account in X (formerly Twitter).
Crew-7 docking confirmed! At 9:16 a.m. ET (13:16 UTC), the Dragon spacecraft, with a crew and four space travelers on board, arrived at the ISS.
The launch of the Falcon-9 launch vehicle with Russian cosmonaut Konstantin Borisov aboard the Crew Dragon took place on August 26 at 10:27 Moscow time from the NASA Kennedy Space Center in Florida. The crew, in addition to Borisov, included representatives of four space agencies. Among them are NASA astronaut Jasmine Mogbeli, ESA (European Space Agency) astronaut Andreas Mogensen and JAXA (Japan Aerospace Exploration Agency) astronaut Satoshi Furukawa.
Roskosmos reported that the docking of Crew Dragon to the Harmony node module of the American segment of the ISS was scheduled for August 27 at 15:39 Moscow time. The start of the mission was postponed several times in August, which was also reported by Borisov himself.
In July 2022, Roscosmos and NASA signed an agreement on joint cross-flights to the ISS, according to which the countries were to carry out two missions. In September, the Russian spacecraft Soyuz MS-22 was launched to the ISS, carrying the Russians Sergey Prokopyev and Dmitry Petelin, as well as NASA astronaut Francisco Rubio. In October, Roscosmos female cosmonaut Anna Kikina arrived at the station on the Crew Dragon-5 spacecraft.
In March, Roskosmos reported that cross-flights would continue in 2023-2024. In the first half of 2024, the Crew-8 mission is planned, the crew of which is Roscosmos cosmonaut Alexander Grebenkin.
