Border guards caught red-handed crab poachers in Magadan, RIA Novosti reports with reference to the press service of the Border Directorate of the FSB of Russia for the Eastern Arctic Region.
Reportedly, the poachers were exposed during a car check in the area of Nagaevo Bay. This car was towing a trailer with a small boat. Border guards found and seized crab claws, only 6 bags.
Subsequently, 19 crab and 12 shrimp traps were found in Nagaev Bay. The bioresources that were in them were returned to their natural habitat.
As a result, the border guards seized the ship, and a criminal case was opened against the poachers.
