The Basmanny Court granted the petition of the investigation and chose in absentia for the ex-employee of Channel One, Marina Ovsyannikova, a measure of restraint in the form of arrest for a period of two months from the moment of detention.
Lawyer Dmitry Zakhvatov said that Ovsyannikova left the territory of Russia and is in one of the European countries.
She is accused of publicly disseminating false information about the use of the RF Armed Forces. This article provides for punishment of up to 10 years. The case was initiated after a picket on Sofiyskaya embankment, which was held by Ovsyannikova.
Prior to that, she was under house arrest, but violated the preventive measure and disappeared. Later, Ovsyannikova was put on the wanted list.
Recall that Ovsyannikova became famous after she burst into the live broadcast of the Vremya program in March with a poster of pacifist content, after which she was fired from Channel One.
