In June 2021, former police officer Stanislav Golchenko was sentenced to three and a half years in prison for torturing Marina Ruzayeva, a resident of the Irkutsk region. The victim’s husband told how it all happened.

In 2021, the Usolsky City Court of the Irkutsk Region found three police officers guilty of torturing local resident Marina Ruzaeva. The woman was beaten, a bag was put on her head, a stun gun was used, and handcuffed to a bench. Thus, the police beat out statements.

Recently, one of the convicts, Stanislav Golchenko, was released on parole.

The injured party intends to appeal the decision of the court.

“First, Golchenko was sent to the Nizhny Tagil colony, where he spent about five months,” says Pavel Glushchenko, the husband of the victim Marina. “He was commended for his good behavior there. Then he filed a motion to change the remaining measure of restraint. His request was granted. They sent him for forced labor to a poultry slaughterhouse in the Crimea, where he lived, in our opinion, as in a resort, he used the phone.

Then in February of this year, Golchenko wrote a petition for parole. The case was considered in the Crimea. We couldn’t come to court. The youngest child is only 1.2 years old, there is no one to leave him to. In addition, Marina has serious problems with her spine after those events. We were denied permission to attend the trial via video link.

The court decision states that Golchenko repented and corrected himself. But in all these years, he never even apologized to us. There was no human action on his part. And after the verdict was passed, he also threw me in the courtroom: “Go and look around.” I have saved the video. But my complaint about this was not considered.

– Did you receive any compensation?

— We sought compensation from the Ministry of Internal Affairs. The court awarded 500 thousand rubles. But this amount will not cover our expenses for the treatment of his wife.

– Golchenko attached letters of guarantee to his application from enterprises that are ready to hire him. What are these organizations?

– One of the enterprises is VRP Novotrans LLC, this is a strategically important facility. It is strange that they vouch for a newly released criminal and hire him. The sole proprietorship “Mamedov Z.E.” also vouched for him. This Mammadov said in court that he would hire all three former policemen to work as drivers in the city administration. As far as I understand, he provides transportation to local administration employees.

— How do you live now?

– We moved from Usolye-Sibirsky, it is not safe to stay there. But they moved not far, to the neighboring area. We were calculated here too. Periodically, a district police officer comes to us under various pretexts. Looks like he’s checking if we’re here or not. There is no way to leave the region. We can sell an apartment for a maximum of 2 million rubles. In addition, we have three children. I understand that if something happens, the police will not deal with our cases. I had to protect myself: I installed cameras everywhere. But we don’t feel safe here.
