Last week, the deputies barely had time to voice the initiative – to hold “Conversations about the Important” in schools for parents as well – and the Ministry of Education accepted it as a guide to action. The Ministry is developing the format “ROV in an adult way.” In the meantime, mothers and fathers are wondering why they need this “political information”, schools are preparing to educate the parents of their students.
So far, little is known about parental ROVs at the official level. “Now we are discussing the format so that it is … and it is interesting for parents – such a systematic work,” says the Minister of Education. And he emphasizes that the idea is correct, the decision has been made.
Most likely, the same Institute for Supporting the Development of Education of the Russian Academy of Education, where topics for “Conversations” for schoolchildren and methodological recommendations for teachers were created, will be engaged in the development of adult ROV. But if children’s “Conversations” are mostly accompanied by a lot of pictures, quests and other interactive, then adults need a different approach, most likely reminiscent of the former political information. By the way, the cost of developing a “mandatory extra-curricular hour” from grades 1 to 11 amounted to 22 million rubles.
How “conversations” with parents will look like is not yet known even in parliament. The initiator of the “adult ROVs” Olga Kazakova only spoke in the spirit of what would be enough to “talk about curtains” at parent meetings. Moreover, MP Anatoly Wasserman suggested holding such meetings online. “Parents usually have many extracurricular tasks, — Wasserman says. “And it will be difficult for them to make time for these “talks.”
— The news really did not please, – says the mother of two schoolchildren, Irina from New Moscow. – The fact is that class meetings in schools are rarely held now, once or twice a year. Extraordinary – only if something happened. And they are so fast, technical. 5-10 minutes for general information: holidays, some certificates you need to convey or sign, discuss profiling or exams.
If someone wants to talk about the child with the class teacher, this is separate. And then we go through the floors to chat with subject teachers. I have no idea where to put these “talks” here, sorry…
“MK” managed to find out that meetings have already been held in some places in connection with the impending new format of the ROV – already for parents. And there are first decisions.
“Yes, we had an operative at our school,” says the head teacher from Moscow, Larisa. – There are no letters of recommendation for new “conversations” yet, of course. Perhaps the director or our trustee learned from his source: in general, the adviser to the director for educational work will be in charge of organizing the ROV for parents. We don’t have that person in our school. Not class teachers, thank God, will carry them out, they will only be hanged with information. And these meetings will be common to the whole school. What and when exactly, is still unclear. Whether it will be before the concerts, by May 9, for example, when the streams of classes perform and the parents come. Whether target any meetings will organize. But not cool, because everyone understands that this is hardly possible.
The other day, the Ministry of Education announced that from 2023, advisers to the director of education will appear in all schools. The project to introduce the new nomenclature in schools started in 2021. At first it was assumed that the adviser would take care of all the “out of class”: excursions, concerts, attendance at cinema and theater classes… The pilot project took place in 10 regions of the Russian Federation (Bryansk, Vologda, Kaliningrad, Nizhny Novgorod, Omsk, Sakhalin, Tyumen, Chelyabinsk regions , in Sevastopol and the Stavropol Territory).
The experiment showed that not everywhere the promised 15 thousand were paid to the adviser. Well, if 5 thousand, but somewhere nothing at all. But on the other hand, deputies for educational work (also a recently introduced position) were willingly dumped on him for compiling reports and information. This academic year, it was the advisers, where they were available, who were charged with the duty to monitor how politically correct the class teachers conduct the ROV. So the widespread appearance of advisers and the start of “adults” “Talk about the important” — probably related events. Only instead of the cultural “out of school”, the emphasis will now be shifted to ideology.
