The first stage of construction of the new Dzhubga-Sochi highway bypassing Adler will begin this year, the first stage is planned to be completed in 2026, the volume of investments will amount to 74 billion rubles, reports press office administration of Sochi.
Plans to create a new high-speed road, which will become a backup of the A-147 highway, were discussed at a meeting of the Russian government on economic issues. Currently, technical solutions and a financial model of the project are being worked out. According to preliminary calculations, 14,000 vehicles per day will follow at the exit from the bypass in the direction of the Adler microdistrict, including the flow of transport to the airport. In the direction of Krasnaya Polyana, about 10,000 vehicles per day are predicted at the new section.
At present, about 75,000 cars pass daily along the highway near the villages of Khosta and Kudepsta; after the commissioning of the Adler bypass, the load on this section of the road will be reduced by a third.
