Construction of martial arts center “Northern character” started in Gubkinsky

In the fifth microdistrict of Gubkinsky, on the site of the Fakel youth center, which was demolished last fall, a martial arts center of the Yamal network “Northern Character” is being built. The object will be the sixth in the region out of the planned 17. This was reported on February 22 in the press service of the Governor of the YNAO.

“The facility is very significant for our city, because we, in accordance with the instructions of the governor, are developing martial arts very actively. And we are happy to support the trend that has been taken in Yamal for the development of the Northern Character martial arts center network. Our townspeople assess this very positively, the most important thing is that now our children will have more opportunities. It’s up to the little one to complete the facility within the contract period, and I think that in 2024 our children will be fully engaged,” commented the head of the city Andrey Garanin on the construction of the sports facility.

The specialists completed the foundation and began to put the metal frame.

The center with an area of ​​two and a half thousand square meters will be three-story. It will house a gym and two specialized rooms for martial arts with stands. The object will be equipped with all necessary inventory and equipment. On the second floor, it is planned to place locker rooms and a sauna for athletes.

The Northern Character network is being developed in Yamal on the initiative of Dmitry Artyukhov, Governor of the Autonomous Okrug. There are already centers in Salekhard, Labytnangi, Aksarka, Novy Urengoy and Kharp. In the near future, their construction is already envisaged in Purpa, Noyabrsk, Krasnoselkup, Yar-Sale and one more in the gas capital. The plans include Tarko-Sale, Muravlenko, Nadym, Tazovsky, Muzhi, and a third in Novy Urengoy.
