Congress of Ministers in Bashkortostan: Ufa becomes a center of business events

The first congress of economic ministers was held in Bashkortostan. 76 constituent entities of Russia, including new regions, took part in the conference. The ministers are focusing on issues of socio-economic development of regions, the labor market, reducing the administrative burden on business and others.

According to the head of Bashkortostan, Radiy Khabirov, the region has never focused on the problem of survival.

– Indeed, we have been living and working in such conditions for many years now – these are both covid decisions and sanctions pressure. But it all comes down to the fact that we have never focused on the problem of surviving, of waiting it out. All our activities were aimed at ensuring strategic development. I am very glad that the meeting is taking place in our republic today. We consider this a manifestation of trust in us,” said Radiy Khabirov.

According to the Minister of Economic Development of the Republic of Belarus Rustam Muratov, the topics that regional ministers are discussing today are relevant and are designed for making strategic decisions. Muratov believes that they will affect the economic development of the entire country.

Participants highly appreciated the level of organization of the first congress. The head of the Russian Ministry of Economic Development, Maxim Reshetnikov, also stated this.

The federal government’s assessment once again confirms that Ufa is becoming a center for business events. Recently, International Business Week took place here, in which delegates from 21 countries took part. A few months earlier, the 10th Forum of Regions of Russia and Belarus took place.

– This year, Ufa has become the capital of all-Russian forums, and I want to thank Bashkortostan for the high level of hosting the 10th Forum of Regions of Russia and Belarus. The forum of regions was highly appreciated by the Chairman of the Federation Council Valentina Matvienko, said Deputy Chairman of the Federation Council Nikolai Zhuravlev.

The head of the Ministry of Economic Development of the Republic of Belarus, Margarita Bolycheva, said that the choice of Ufa to host a major event of federal significance proves that Bashkortostan is moving in the right direction.
