Competition “Fireworks of consonances” starts in the capital

A competition of musical and speech performing arts of students “Fireworks of Consonances” has started in the capital, organized by the City Methodological Center of the Department of Education and Science of the capital and the Institute of Fine Arts of the Moscow State Pedagogical University.
The competition will be held in three stages: school, district and city. Everyone can take part in it. To do this, they need to place on the competition website a link to a video recording of their competitive performance.
Competitions will be held in five nominations: “Each class is a choir!”; “In the circle of folklore”; “The flute sings”; “The Cadets Sing”; “Music of the Word”. The general theme of the competition is “My country is your true friend!”. There are three age categories: junior – students of grades 1 – 4, middle – students of grades 5 – 9 and senior – students of grades 10 – 11, as well as students of 1 – 2 courses of colleges and universities.
As stated in the regulation on the competition, its goal is to develop the musical culture of schoolchildren, improve the musical and performing arts of children and adolescents, teach young people the art of expressing their thoughts and feelings in accordance with the technologies of the subject “Music”, stimulating the interest of schoolchildren and students in the domestic and foreign folk and classical musical heritage, as well as attracting children and adolescents to the development and performance of highly artistic vocal, choral and instrumental repertoire.
The award ceremony for the winners and prize-winners of the competition and the gala concert will take place in April 2023.
