The leader of the Communists of Russia party submitted documents to participate in the presidential elections
The leader of the Communists of Russia party, deputy of the Altai Regional Legislative Assembly Sergei Malinkovich submitted documents to the Central Election Commission to register as a participant in the presidential elections of the Russian Federation. TASS reports this.
Since the Communists of Russia party is not represented in the State Duma, Malinkovich will need to collect one hundred thousand signatures by the end of January 2024, but not more than 2.5 thousand in each Russian subject.
Also on January 1, it became known that the documents in The CEC was submitted by the leader of the LDPR party, State Duma deputy Leonid Slutsky.
Previously as a candidate The Central Election Commission registered the current head of state Vladimir Putin. He will participate in the election race as a self-nominated candidate.
The Federation Council scheduled elections for March 17, 2024. For the first time in the country’s history, voting for the president will last three days – March 15, 16 and 17.
