“I don’t want to accept my guilt”
The wife of humorist Alexander Ponomarenko, who died at the end of last year, Anna suddenly attacked his twin brother Valery with accusations. Anna Ponomarenko stated that Valery, who performed with his brother on the same stage, did not actually take part in his treatment. Moreover, when it became known about a serious illness, according to Anna, Valery scheduled the tour for months in advance. According to the artist’s widow, Valery still does not help her financially.
Valery Ponomarenko himself does not hide: the departure of his brother was a great shock to him. Now he is learning to live without it. The comedian is now touring solo. Alexander knows about the accusations of the widow and assures: stress is to blame for everything.
“We really don’t always communicate with Anna: there is a misunderstanding between us,” Valery complained. “If I don’t blame anyone, then they blame me, on the contrary, that this happened almost through my fault. I take this philosophically. I understand why this happens. She got a lot of stress. And she cannot but understand her own, including guilt. She does not want to accept this guilt. She understands, but does not accept. And when a person does not accept his guilt, he is looking for an answer to the question: “Why did this happen?”.
It’s easier to pass it on to someone else…
– It is removed from oneself … Such an attempt to alleviate one’s internal suffering. If she also accepts guilt, it will be harder for her. Everything is different for me. I accept my guilt, but the only person I answer to is the Higher Powers, God and my brother… On her part, this is a stressful situation. There was a time that I let her talk. Her words hit me hard. Then, when I began to dig into why this happened, I realized that it was all stress. It will take some time, I am sure that she will take back her words. And he will understand everything.
Read a frank interview with Valery Ponomarenko in the coming days on the MK website.
