Comedian Alexander Ponomarenko, who died last Saturday at the age of 55, was buried in Novocherkassk, Rostov Region.

Several dozen people from among relatives and friends, as well as those who knew the artist, came to the farewell ceremony. The funeral service was held in St. George’s Church of the city.

The comedian was buried in the new cemetery of Novocherkassk, where his father is buried.

Alexander Ponomarenko became famous duet with his twin brother Valery. They often appeared on the air of the Full House and Crooked Mirror programs.

The artist died on Saturday, December 24, after a battle with cancer.
