Last week, out of an endless number of events, I would single out just a couple of the most interesting and representative ones. It’s good, probably, for gossip columns, that you can choose events and heroes – and not only those who were carried out by telegram waves. MAMM director Olga Sviblova, after long hesitation, decided to celebrate her own 70th birthday. Gemini according to the horoscope, every time she tries to share this celebration with other people. At least according to the zodiac principle. Usually it’s called “The Twins’ Feast”, but this year we decided to do without the title. Nevertheless, having come to the celebration at the Ekaterina Cultural Foundation, the invitees climbed the stairs decorated with balls. The names of other Gemini guests were written on larger balloons: Dmitry Khankin, Vladimir Smirnov, Dmitry Vikulin, Natalia Opaleva, Kristina Krasnyanskaya, Mikhail Karisalov and others. Of course, everyone wanted to raise a toast to Mrs. Sviblova, but they had to raise their hands during a charity auction. In fact, Mrs. Sviblova would hardly have considered it possible to celebrate if it were not for the need to support the museum, which will soon open after repairs. Not all members of the cultural community believe in this renovation, which began last year, but the need for renovation is documented.

The birthday girl kept herself waiting. At some point, the guests began to joke that maybe she specifically decided to collect everyone for the auction, but she herself would never appear. Finally, Mrs. Sviblova illuminated the meeting. From the congratulations of Tomaz Manasherov, who, in fact, became the host of the evening, the audience learned that the father of the hero of the day worked with Sergei Korolev: “Obviously, such incredible energy comes from here!” The guests also learned that since childhood, Mrs. Sviblova dreamed of being a “shepherd of dogs”. “I still dream,” she concluded. Dmitry Aksenov noticed that there are people of their word and people of deeds, but Ms. Sviblova is unique in combining these categories: “When I was asked about her for the film, which of the characters I associate her with, at first I thought that with Mary Poppins, but then nevertheless decided that in terms of the scope of her personality and ability to lead, she, of course, is Moses!

Another spectacular event of the week was the opening of the summer terrace of the Gvidon restaurant. A year ago, it had all the signs of a group therapy, when the guests of Irina and Boris Zarkov could not disperse until three in the morning – everyone talked and talked. This time, Mrs. Zarkova met the guests alone – Boris was at video conferences with Turkish partners. This summer in Bodrum promises to be even hotter than the previous one, when our ships, water and air, so intensively moored to this coast. In the meantime, the company at the Guidon was, in a certain sense, extraordinary. Philip Kirkorov, who, if he accepts an invitation from someone, will definitely arrive on time, this time he came not alone, but with a friend – Viktor Medvedchuk, who arrived in Russia in January of this year as a result of the exchange of prisoners. After arriving in Moscow, Mr. Medvedchuk gave an interview to RT, in which he spoke about a plan to create a socio-political movement that unites Ukrainians who disagree with the actions of Vladimir Zelensky. Since then, he almost did not get into the news – and now he went out onto the veranda to salmon ceviche, artichoke carpaccio. Mr. Kirkorov on the one hand and Yana Rudkovskaya on the other did not let him get bored, but he still quickly left the evening. Soon the same chair was taken by Anastasia Ivleeva.
