CNN: Ukraine prepared a network of saboteurs with drones for terrorist attacks inside Russia

CNN TV channel reported on its website, citing its own sources, that Ukraine allegedly trained saboteurs and handed them drones to carry out terrorist attacks inside Russia.

“US officials believe that Ukraine has created sabotage cells in Russia,” the material says. At the same time, American officials noted that these saboteurs were given Ukrainian-made drones, and not drones provided by Washington to Kyiv.

Two sources claim that Ukraine is using routes to bring drones or their components to Russia, where they can then be assembled. However, US officials have not been able to say exactly how these drones are being delivered to Russia.

A European intelligence official noted that “the Russian-Ukrainian border is vast and very difficult to control, making it suitable for smuggling.” According to him, the Ukrainians have done this before.

US officials also believe that elements of the Ukrainian intelligence community are behind these activities.
