Climatologist predicted new temperature records in 2024

Leading researcher at the Main Geophysical Observatory named after Voeikov in St. Petersburg Andrey Kiselev on the radio “TVNZ” assessed the words of UN Secretary General Antonio Guterres that 2023 was the hottest year on record.
According to the expert, the most noticeable manifestation of climate change is global warming. “…over the last century, the temperature has increased by 1.2 degrees… In connection with this, various weather disasters are becoming more frequent…,” the specialist added.
Kiselev noted that, probably, 2024 could break a new temperature record: “With a probability of 98 percent, one out of five next five years will be the most record-breaking…”.
At the same time, the analyst emphasized that people need to adapt to such a climate, since this problem cannot be solved quickly.
