The organizer of the festival “I Love Cider 2023” Alina Lokteva announced its postponement. It was scheduled in Moscow for June 17, they were not going to cancel it on June 6, said RBC Mrs Lokteva. Now it supposed be held July 15th.

“Over the past week, we have all witnessed a monstrous tragedy that caused many victims, and, as a result, the growth of the information background that distorts the truth about traditional cider. News, comments and complaints have led to strong recommendations from the authorities to postpone the festival,” says Alina Lokteva in today’s address. Now she plans to apply for support to the Moscow City Hall and personally to the mayor of the capital with a request to assist in hosting the I Love Cider 2023 festival within the city venues of Moscow.
According to the results of examinations in the Samara “cider” were discovered impurities of methanol and ethyl butyrate in proportions that pose a threat to life and health. The surrogate drink was produced at the Varka private brewery, founded in 2020 in the Samara region. The supplier of “Mister Sidra” was an individual entrepreneur, the owner of LLC “Andi” Anar Huseynov.
