A Chinese lottery winner showed up to the $30.1 million prize draw dressed as a cartoon character to maintain his anonymity. He chose to hide his identity, including from his family.

Mr. Lee, as he asked to be called himself, bought 40 tickets with the same combination of numbers for each. He won the jackpot on October 21st and stayed up all night after that.
Lee said he is a “devout fan” of the lottery and has been buying tickets regularly for over a decade. He explained that he chose the same numbers because he liked them.
A lawyer named Fu Jian told the press that under Chinese law, the lucky man is required to share his winnings with his wife. Otherwise, he faces punishment.
