China and the European Union (EU) need to step up their bilateral dialogues to make up for their absence during the coronavirus pandemic. This was announced by Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi.
“Both sides believe that cooperative partnership is the most important feature of China-EU relations,” said the head of the office of the Foreign Affairs Commission of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of the People’s Republic of China during a conversation with EU foreign policy chief Josep Borrell.
The Chinese diplomat stressed that relations between Beijing and Brussels “keep a good momentum” at the moment.
In addition, Wang Yi added that China has always had a positive attitude towards relations with the European Union.
