The Chinese semiconductor industry has achieved that it can produce microcircuits with a process technology of up to 14 nanometers without the use of foreign machines, materials and technologies. This was announced by Wu Jincheng, chairman of the Shanghai Commission on Economics and Digitalization, The Global Times writes.
It is noted that companies in the sector, which are located in Shanghai, can produce a large number of microcircuits with a technical processor up to 14 nm, as well as produce lithographic systems with a resolution of 90 nm.
According to experts, the words of the Shanghai official were a powerful response to US attempts to create a Chip 4 technology alliance to blockade China. In turn, analyst Xiang Ligan noted that the stronger the blockade from the United States, the faster China will develop its own technologies.
