Children’s Ombudsman of Lvov-Belova: Maria Moskaleva was taken away by her mother

Maria Moskaleva, who found herself in a shelter after her father, Alexei Moskalev, was charged under an article on discrediting the army, was taken by the girl’s mother, Olga. This was announced by the presidential commissioner for children’s rights Maria Lvova-Belova.

According to the children’s ombudsman, initially the girl did not want to live with her mother, but her position changed: “She herself told me this on the phone,” said Maria Lvova-Belova.

“Olga has already taken Masha from the social rehabilitation center, where she was at her request. Mom is currently not limited in parental rights, so it was enough to terminate the agreement on the temporary placement of the child in an institution, ”wrote the Ombudsman in Telegram.

Yesterday, April 4, children’s Maria Lvova-Belova spokethat a substitute family is being sought for Maria Moskaleva, because none of her relatives wanted to take her away from the shelter. With one of the families that were applicants for a substitute family for the girl, Maria spoke earlier and expressed her desire to live with them, the representative said.

Alexey Moskalev raised his daughter alone in the city of Efremov, Tula region. In December 2022, he was charged under Art. 280.3 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation on the repeated discrediting of the Russian army due to a comment in Odnoklassniki. Prior to that, in April, he was fined under Part 1 of Art. 20.3.3 of the Code of Administrative Offenses on discrediting the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation, also due to a comment on the social network. In March, the man was placed under house arrest. The sixth-grader daughter was taken to an orphanage.

On March 28, Aleksey Moskalev was sentenced to two years in prison. The man escaped from house arrest before the verdict was announced, and on March 30 he was detained in Minsk. After that, there was no news about the man.
