The Moscow Mayor’s Office is ready to “take over” the payment for kindergartens, extended days and sections for children of mobilized residents of the capital. As Mayor Sergei Sobyanin explained, payment for these services from the city budget will be made upon receipt of relevant applications.

“Up to the payment for kindergartens – we will take it all upon ourselves, we will do it for free. At the expense of the city, we will pay for additional meals, additional stay at school, after-school, mugs, and so on. This whole block is based on applications – if there is such a need, we will do it all, ”said Mr. Sobyanin at the center to provide support to the families of the mobilized (quoted by TASS). He did not specify whether the support program would affect private kindergartens.

Since the announcement by Russian President Vladimir Putin of a partial mobilization on September 21, the Russian authorities have regularly announced the provision of additional support measures to the mobilized and their families. On September 24, a draft law was submitted to the State Duma for consideration, according to which a payment of 300 thousand rubles was established for all citizens called up for service as part of the mobilization.
