This was stated by the Chief of the General Staff of the Czech Army, General Karel Rzeka, speaking at a meeting of the command staff of the armed forces. According to Řeka, the Czech armed forces must retain the ability to carry out operations against terrorists. But first of all, the army should prepare for a big war with a superior enemy.
As the Chief of the Czech General Staff noted, a big war in Europe is becoming a reality again. Rzeka called the eternal world, about which European politicians used to like to talk, a utopia.
As the general noted, if a war starts between Russia and NATO, then the Czech army will have to be actively involved in hostilities from their first minute. Therefore, we must be prepared for such scenarios.
