The TV channel showed that drivers in the Chicago suburb of Oak Brook have been unable to charge their cars since Sunday. Because of this, dozens of electric vehicles were abandoned at charging stations – not only in Oak Brook, but also in other parts of Chicago.
Meanwhile, millions of people in the US face sub-zero temperatures as winter storms bring arctic air. Warnings are sounding for freezing temperatures in Montana and the Dakotas, and severe frosts could extend into northern Texas. Arctic storms threaten blizzard conditions in the Northeast and several inches of snow in parts of the South.
Leading specialist at the Phobos weather center, Mikhail Leus, clarified in his Telegram channel that in Chicago on the morning of Monday, January 15, it was about 22 degrees below zero; currently the thermometers have risen slightly – almost to minus 20 degrees.
