The texts that chatGPT produces are easily confused with those written by a person. Moreover, he knows how to imitate the style of famous writers. And if you ask a question, chatGPT does not answer with a phrase copied from Wikipedia, but analyzes many sources and formulates the answer in its own words. But Vedomosti was not founded in 1931 at all and is distributed mainly in Russia. Here chatGPT made a big mistake. When he was asked to write an article about Vedomosti in English, the chatbot correctly indicated the date of foundation of the newspaper – 1999. But he made other factual inaccuracies in the text.

“At first glance, this technology may seem like a harmless, fun tool for creating entertaining conversations,” chatGPT itself admits when asked about the risks inherent in it. “However, there are some serious dangers associated with this technology that everyone should be aware of.” Incorrect data is just one of the problems. ChatGPT was released on November 30, 2022. Less than a week later, the Stack Overflow programming forum banned links to his answers – there were too many errors in them. It was then banned from school WiFi networks by the New York City Department of Education. “This tool can provide quick and simple answers to questions,” the officials told online publication Motherboard. “But he doesn’t develop the critical thinking and problem-solving skills needed for academic and lifelong success.”
