The hockey players of the Nizhny Novgorod “Chaika” continue to compete in the regular championship of the MHL season 2023-2024. The team from Nizhny Novgorod has been playing in the Golden Division of the Eastern Conference for the second year in a row, where it competes for high places with the strongest teams in the league. Last season, “Chaika” became a triumph and won the Kharlamov Cup. Now the situation is a little worse, but “Chaika” is still among the best, currently occupying 4th place in the “Golden” division of the Eastern Conference.
In the first official match of 2024, “Chaika” will have to compete for 2 points with opponents playing in the “Silver” division of the Eastern Conference. The Ladya hockey players from Tolyatti will come to Nizhny Novgorod. Lada’s youth team played 32 matches during the current season and scored 42 points, which allows them to lead the Silver division and qualify for automatic promotion. Ladya’s closest competitor scored only 1 point less.
