Certificates with the coat of arms of Ukraine led to the dismissal of kindergarten employees

Mayor of Khabarovsk Sergei Kravchuk announced about the dismissal of the head of the kindergarten and the physical education instructor, who were considered responsible for the incident with enemy symbols. As it became known earlier, the kindergarten students received certificates of award for participating in pioneer ball competitions, but some parents caused a scandal: it turned out that the certificates depicted the coat of arms of Ukraine. During the proceedings, it turned out that a mistake was made by a physical education teacher who downloaded a certificate template on the Internet and did not pay attention to the symbolism.

From the statement of Mayor Kravchuk it follows that the head of the kindergarten and the physical education teacher resigned of their own free will: “Understanding their responsibility for the incident <...> wrote a letter of resignation.”

The official also announced that “new certificates have been issued” to the children. Another consequence of the scandal was the mayor’s decision “to hold additional events on the tasks of patriotic education with the staff of all preschool educational institutions.”

“Children <...> “unwittingly became objects of information pressure,” said the mayor. – I apologize to the students <...> and their parents.”
