Center for Endosurgery and Lithotripsy of Dr. Bronstein turns 30

Over the years, the center’s specialists have provided more than 2 million medical services.

The 30th anniversary of the CELT multidisciplinary clinic, which once began the history of private medicine in our country. It was here that for the first time in the country many advanced techniques began to be applied, here the first computed tomography scanner appeared in the capital. Today, the center, all these years headed by the famous doctor Alexander Semenovich Bronstein, continues to develop, constantly expanding the types of assistance and areas of medical activity.

“Back in 1993, we took this bold step into our future – a step into the open doors of our house on 62 Entuziastovdom Highway,” recalls Alexander Bronstein. “And for more than 30 years, these doors have been open to anyone who needs help.”

In 1993, there were only 4 directions here (lithotripsy, endoscopic surgery, gynecology and urology), but today all types of modern medical care are represented here – more than 50 directions in total. In 1996, for the first time in the capital, a CT scanner was put into operation; in 2003, obesity surgery was mastered here, and in 2013, a department of magnetic resonance imaging was opened. Since 2019, modern methods used in CELT have become available to everyone – the clinic has joined the work on the CHI program.

“More than 20 types of operations were performed by our doctors for the first time in Russia, Europe and even in the world. For the first time in Russia, laparoscopic operations were performed for complicated forms of gallstone disease,” says Alexander Bronshtein.

Over the years, the specialists of the center have provided more than 2 million services, from consultations to the most complex operations.
